Become An Instructor

WorkSafe Training Systems provides high quality learning programmes, student learning materials and instructor support for people who wish to provide training programmes to business, educational establishments, leisure activity groups, voluntary organisations and other interested parties.

Our training programmes are easy to learn for students and easy to teach by instructors.  Our philosophy has been created from experience in the sector which has identified good practice and an understanding of what actually works.

It is recognised that instructors are individuals who will present information to their target groups in many different ways and using a variety of methods.  We acknowledge that instructors also know what works and this is reflected in our flexible approach to programme design and presentation.  Approved Instructors of WorkSafe Training Systems have undergone an initial verification of competence and are assessed on an ongoing basis to confirm compliance with WorkSafe rules, regulations and approved methods of delivery.

By utilising WorkSafe student material and certification services approved instructors can deliver first aid training approved by the Health & Safety Executive and other organisations within their organisation.  WorkSafe will look after all the required quality moderations, approvals and certificate issue worries that other HSE approved centres must manage.  Students recieve up to date, colour reference material that enhances your courses and presents that truly professional image to your own training organisation.

WorkSafe Training Systems provides several methods to engage instructors to deliver WorkSafe training programmes.  This can be via instructor crossover for experienced instructors or instructor training course where the Instructor needs to develop confidence and skills for delivery of programmes to their students.  A database of approved Instructors is maintained and regular contact is maintained to ensure an excellent working relationship can be established.  Contact is made via telephone, mail, e-mail, regular e-newsletter and via our website.

Instructors and Assessors of WorkSafe training programmes agree at initial application stage to abide by the rules and regulations of WorkSafe Training Systems.  Lesson plans and instructional notes are provided to ensure Instructors are able to meet all criteria of any nationally approved programmes and to ensure all learning objectives and programme aims are met.

If you wish to submit an application to become an approved instructor with WorkSafe please download the Instructor Application form using the link provided.  On receipt of your application WorkSafe will review the application and provide you with a written Instructor Action Plan to provide guidance on how to obtain full approval as a WorkSafe Instructor.
